Propel® Accelerated Treatment

We can now reduce the standard Invisalign treatment time by 50% with PROPEL®! PROPEL offers a technique that results in straighter teeth in less time. DC Dental Spa is part of a select network that provides the accelerated orthodontic technique PROPEL®.

In DC Dental Spa’s continuous effort to promote only the best and most advanced technology for our patients, we’re excited to offer PROPEL® treatment for those wishing to see orthodontic treatment results faster than ever before.

PROPEL® works directly with your aligners to accelerate your treatment so that your new smile will be complete in about half the time. This exciting step in the world of dentistry and orthodontics now makes total aligner time for patients just months instead of years–so you can spend less time in the dentist’s chair and more time showing off your new smile and confidence!

HOW EXACTLY DOES PROPEL® WORK?

PROPEL® works directly with your personal biology to stimulate bone growth around the teeth. Here’s how it works: your DC Dental Spa dentist uses a small tool to make very small holes in your alveolar bone–the bone that supports your teeth–which allows your teeth to move faster into their desired positions. Most patients don’t experience discomfort, and the procedure is minimally invasive. PROPEL® technology is an efficient solution that does not compromise biologic health or your results!

DC DENTAL SPA DOESN’T TAKE SHORTCUTS WITH YOUR CARE

DC Dental Spa does not take shortcuts when it comes to providing the absolute best care for your smile. We only use the most efficient and reliable technology to promote a healthy, straight smile. We believe each and every one of our patients deserves the best, and that’s why we’re happy to offer PROPEL® technology. We’re committed to healthy smiles and are always searching for ways to help you smile brighter with our personalized care techniques!

Propel Q & A

What is Propel?

Propel is an orthodontic treatment aid that stimulates the bone around your teeth. This encourages teeth to move into their proper positions more quickly than they otherwise would. Dentists use Propel in conjunction with Invisalign in order to expedite the alignment process.

Is Propel dangerous?

Propel is safe because it stimulates bone growth by partnering with your body’s own biology. It doesn’t involve the use of any chemicals, but instead simply makes micro-perforations along your jaw bone where teeth grow. These perforations encourage natural bone growth.

Propel products are recognized for their quality. Pride Institute, for example, recently honored them with their “Best in Class” technology award. In 2014, Dentistry Today listed Propel’s Excellerator Series product line in their Reader’s Choice Awards as one of the top 50 technology products.

How does Propel work?

To stimulate bone growth, Dr. Hoang will make tiny holes in your jawbone to where your teeth should move. These holes are called “micro-osteoperforations.” Your dentist makes these holes using a handheld Propel tool that features a surgical steel tip to give them a high level of control over perforation depth and speed.

What are the advantages of Propel?

The use of Propel can cut the Invisalign straightening process in half! The new bone that grows as the result of your treatment with Propel helps straighten all of your teeth, even stubborn teeth that don’t want to move.

Due to Propel’s ability to safely and effectively speed up your orthodontic treatment, you’ll have fewer office visits for adjustments and won’t need to use as many Invisalign trays with the Propel system.

DC Dental Spa is one of only a select few offices that provides the innovative Propel orthodontic technology to expedite the Invisalign clear aligner process.
